Sexagesimal System
The sexagesimal system is used to measure angles in degrees, tenths, and hundredths.
A sexagesimal degree is equal to 1/360th of a full rotation.
$$ 1° = \frac{1}{360} \ \ full \ rotation $$
Tenths represent one-tenth of a degree.
Hundredths represent one-hundredth of a degree.
Example
An angle of 12.48° in the sexagesimal system is broken down into
$$ 12 + ( \frac{4}{10} )° + ( \frac{8}{100} )° $$
And so on.
